PRODUCT INFORMATION
Carbon steel flanges are designed for connecting or sealing components with bodies made of carbon steel. Flanges that incorporate carbon steel in their construction are referred to as carbon steel flanges. Commonly used materials for these flanges include cast carbon steel grades WCB, forged grades A105, or Q235B, A3, 10#, 20# steel, 16 manganese, 45 steel, and Q345B, among others. These flanges are often treated with an electroplating layer (yellow zinc, white zinc, etc.), or coated with anti-rust oil and anti-rust paint to prevent corrosion.
The production process involves forging, casting, medium plate rolling, and medium plate cutting. Among these methods, forging yields the highest-priced flanges, while medium plate products rank second, and casting products are the most economical. In terms of quality, forging provides the highest quality flanges, followed by rolling, and then casting, which has slightly lower quality. It’s important to note that forged flanges are typically smaller in diameter compared to other manufacturing methods.
