PRODUCT INFORMATION
Hot rolled coils are produced using slabs, mainly continuous casting billets, as their raw material. These slabs undergo heating and are then transformed into strip steel through the rough rolling mill and finishing mill processes. The final hot steel strip from the finishing rolling mill is cooled to the desired temperature through a laminar flow process. After cooling, it is coiled into steel strip coils using a coiler. Depending on the specific requirements of users, the cooled steel strip coils undergo various finishing operations, including leveling, straightening, cross-cutting or slitting, inspection, weighing, packaging, and marking. These processes result in a range of steel products such as steel sheets, flat rolls, and slitting steel strip products.
Cold rolled coils, unlike hot rolled coils, are produced differently in the steel industry. They are created by directly rolling a steel strip to achieve a specific thickness using a roll at room temperature. This cold rolling process produces a whole roll of steel strip with the help of a winder. Compared to hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled coils have a smoother and brighter surface finish.
