PRODUCT INFORMATION
Channel steel production starts with raw material billets made from either carbon-structured steel or low-alloy steel, with a carbon content not exceeding 0.25%. The final product, channel steel, is delivered in either a hot-formed, normalized, or hot-rolled condition.
There are four main types of channel steel based on their shapes: cold-formed equilateral channel steel, cold-formed unequal-sided channel steel, cold-formed inner-curled channel steel, and cold-formed outer-curved channel steel.
Channel steel serves as a carbon structural steel used in manufacturing and machinery applications. It finds wide usage in building structures, curtain wall engineering, mechanical equipment, and vehicle production. In its application, channel steel is required to possess excellent welding, riveting, and general mechanical properties to ensure its suitability for diverse construction and engineering projects.
